Recruiting: The Berry Twins

Not one single recruit can resist the pull of Derek Dooley.  They are nothing more than sailors being drawn to the song of the siren.  Dooley will remove the beeswax from their ears so they may hear his melodic and enchanting message of the glory of Tennessee football.  The Berry twins are Tennessee locks. LOCKS

If Dooley wants these legacy recruits, he will have them.  Dooley’s urine is so potent that it can clog up toilets.  Recruits love that level of swag.  The Berry twins are no different…..

Don’t let this negative recruiting article fool you. The author is nothing more than an Auburn puppet and Trooper’s bitch.

“Is Tennessee not an option for the younger brothers of former Vols star Eric Berry?

Elliot Berry, a U.S. Air Force All-American, told MaxPreps that he has been offered by and has been hearing from Georgia, Alabama, LSU, Auburn and Florida.

But not the Vols?

“Nothing,” the 6-foot-0, 200-pound linebacker from Creekside (Ga.) High said. “They fired the coach (Charlie Baggett) that has our area.”

According to reports, Baggett officially retired in December. Berry says he has not heard from Tennessee since then.

Keithon Redding, a receiver from Columbia (Decatur, Ga.), had a similar experience. He committed to Tennessee in July but backed off his pledge following Baggett’s departure.

“I made my commitment based on Coach Baggett because I had a real close relationship with him,” Redding told the Times Free Press two weeeks ago. “My commitment was based on him, really, but once he left, everything seemed to change for me. It’s like I lost contact with Tennessee once he left.”

It’s widely expected that Elliott and twin brother, Evan, will attend college together. Furthermore, most have assumed the pair would follow in brother Eric’s footsteps and head to Knoxville.

Evan went so far as to reportedly commit to Tennessee as an eighth grader. That commitment later proved premature.

Now, it appears that the Berry twins are anything but locks to attend Tennessee.” Tennessee not recruiting Eric Berry’s brothers? – MaxPreps News

About Capers Bar

I am retired Army officer. I used to fly helicopters and airplanes while I was in the Army. Nowadays, I do other things that are not so cool and sexy. I decided to write about my journey or whatever you want to call it towards running a half-marathon this fall. I have been running since 1983, I have run the Duke City full and half marathons. I don't run that fast anymore, I did win a 10K when I was 21, those days are mercifully past me. The fastest mile I have turned is a 5:05 during one of those Army physical fitness test 2 mile runs. The point I am making is that I am old, slow, and experienced runner. I named the blog after my running buddy, Bandit, an Australian Blue Heeler. He is my 3rd K-9 running buddy, the previous two dogs were black labs. I hope to write about some of my discussions that I have with Bandit in the future. I once owned, but since sold and a satirical and irreverent sports blog that was moderately successful. I was published in the left-wing national sports media by Sports Illustrated and ESPN. I am "stuck" in Alabama working for a military contractor. I am working so fricking hard to get back to Southeast New Mexico or West Texas. Fingers and toes crossed.
