Deets on the Tennessee D-Coordinator Search

All of this my opinion, conjecture and some facts. You figure it out what is what.

Sunseri interviewed with Dooley yesterday. If an offer of employment was made, I would imagine that Suneri had to go back to Bama and talk with his wife for approval.  Some  Vol fan think that Sunseri should have immediately accepted the position. Get real you bunch of sheep. Chill the fuck out.

If I was a professional gambler, I would bet the house that Sunseri stays in T-Town and waits for Dooley to get fired so that Kirby Smart can take the head coaching position at Tennessee.  Then Sunseri can go with Smart or backfill Smart.

I do think it is kind of weird that half of Dooley’s staff has bailed on him.  Maybe it’s normal for this time of the year.  I don’t recall such an exodus during the Fulmer tenure. Just seems weird.

Dooley is getting ready to rape the best talent out of the mid-majors:

Navy’s Buddy Green comes into Knoxville today for an interview. I know I made fun of his 2/4/5 defense but in reality he has a pretty solid coaching resume. I really don’t understand the 2/4/5….but who really gives shit?

As I posted yesterday (see link below), O-Line coach Harry Hiestand is poised to leave for Notre Dame. A number of established media outfits are corroborating my post. One possible backfill is Mitch Browning from Akron Mitch Browning – Akron Football. This morning Tony Basilio tweeted that Walt Wells from WKU is in the mix as well [Walt Wells – Western Kentucky University Official Athletics Site]

About Capers Bar

I am retired Army officer. I used to fly helicopters and airplanes while I was in the Army. Nowadays, I do other things that are not so cool and sexy. I decided to write about my journey or whatever you want to call it towards running a half-marathon this fall. I have been running since 1983, I have run the Duke City full and half marathons. I don't run that fast anymore, I did win a 10K when I was 21, those days are mercifully past me. The fastest mile I have turned is a 5:05 during one of those Army physical fitness test 2 mile runs. The point I am making is that I am old, slow, and experienced runner. I named the blog after my running buddy, Bandit, an Australian Blue Heeler. He is my 3rd K-9 running buddy, the previous two dogs were black labs. I hope to write about some of my discussions that I have with Bandit in the future. I once owned, but since sold and a satirical and irreverent sports blog that was moderately successful. I was published in the left-wing national sports media by Sports Illustrated and ESPN. I am "stuck" in Alabama working for a military contractor. I am working so fricking hard to get back to Southeast New Mexico or West Texas. Fingers and toes crossed.
