On Houston Nutt and the impact on Tennessee

I’m genuinely sorry things did not work out just a little better and Nutt could have kept his job.

Not because I like Nutt. But because THAT is what’s best for Tennessee.

When they replace Nutt, one of three possibilities exist:

*They hire an ethical coach who turns Ole Miss into a power house

OXFORD, MS - NOVEMBER 14: Head coach Houston ...

UAB I'm a 'coming!!

*They hire an ethical coach who doesn’t turn them into a powerhouse.
*They hire another cheat like Orgeron or Brewer who poaches players from Tennessee, regardless of his record.

Needless to say – only ONE of the three possibilities would be “Good” for Tennessee.

  1. I will miss Nutt…let’s be honest, as a blogger, the guy is a well-spring of material.

  2. Lets get real, Ole Miss is condemned by their ambition to be somebody to stay a mediocre forever. Nobody can save them, their perfect coach was Tennessee’s Cutcliff, he actually had a great record for an OM coach…but they could not stand for matching their potential…they want it all…but they cant have it.
