This guy?

The Worldwide Leader’s Pat Forde confirmed this morning on Mike and Mike that Kentucky has chosen former Texas A&M head coach Billy Gillespie to be their new head basketball coach.

While Gillespie is a fine coach and had a good year last year and took the Aggies to the Sweet 16 (thanks almost entirely to the play of Acie Law IV). I can’t help but wonder how Wildcat Nation is responding to news of this hire. I’m sure some of them are scratching their heads and saying.. “Who?”

This can’t be the sexy hire that Kentucky fans wanted to see their team make but it will prove to be a quality hire. The real question is can he recruit for talent against the other teams in their conference and in the region?

Billy D should have worked it like a Rich Rod, he would have got more money. On a sidenote, does anyone think that Jeremy Foley looks like Barbaro?
